Mossgiel Snug 

There’s no better place to indulge in quality food and drink as well as Burn’s history than Mossgiel Snug. Owned and run by Mossgiel Organic Farm, they have a passion to bring speciality coffee, local food and organic farming to Mauchline, Enjoy your coffee with ‘cow with calf organic cream-top milk’ as well as menu favourites - ‘Jean Armour’s Italian and ‘Address tae a toastie’. 

Woody’s Ice Cream Parlour & Dessert Bar

Woody’s Ice Cream Ltd are a family-run Company that manufactures Award Winning, Woody’s Luxury Dairy Ice Cream, Fresh Fruit Sorbets, and Fat-Free Frozen Yoghurts.  They have been making our delicious Ice Cream since January 2005, going from strength to strength over the past 10 years. Within the ice cream parlour, based in Mauchline, will find 16 flavours of Woody’s homemade Ice Cream including Bubblegum, Malteeser, Salted Caramel Popcorn and Raspberry Sorbet. Hot Waffle desserts, cakes, teas and coffees, Tango Ice Blast and milkshakes are also on the menu. The dessert bar has a small seated area for those looking to relax and also the option of takeaway.

Castle Cafe

The Castle Cafe is a traditional family-owned Italian cafe, established in 1930. They offer a wide range of delicious and made-to-order culinary delights. Visitors love their range of deep-fried food, including fresh Scottish haddock and hand-cut chips, all made fresh to order. You can also enjoy a variety of traditional lunch favourites; sandwiches, wraps and toasties. In addition, Castle Cafe serves homemade dairy ice cream; the same authentic recipe from 1909. Hot pancakes with a choice of ice cream and a selection of delicious toppings are also a visitor favourite.

The Sorn Inn - Sorn, Mauchline

Failford Inn,  Failford Mauchline 

Boasting stunning river views over the River Ayr, the Failford Inn is a traditional and cosy inn offering fresh food, drinks and a warm atmosphere. Expect traditional dishes with a twist. The menu includes ‘pan-seared fillet of red deer, roast chestnut puree, winter greens, Dauphinoise potato and blackberry and bramble gin sauce’; a favourite amongst locals. It’s also the perfect place to stop for a thirst-quenching drink if you’re on a walk beside the River Ayr. The riverside beer garden is an idyll spot during the summer months.

Kailyard Restaurant at The Black Bull

The award-winning Kailyard restaurant offers a warm welcome to customers old and new. Good food coupled with relaxed informal dining is at the heart of the Kailyard Restaurant, where Head Chef, Alexander Burns, brings culinary inspiration to life. Morton’s Milk 

Morton’s Milk is produced at Auchinbay Farm, where their herd of happy cows graze on lush green grass all summer and sleep indoors on comfy cow mattresses during the winter. ⁠At the farm, you will find a farm shop and a self-serve coffee house.⁠ There is an array of fantastic local produce available to buy ranging from butcher meat, oven meals, fruit & veg, home baking and sweet treats! ⁠
